Re-wilding Horary Astrology

Horary astrology, as one of the oldest branches of astrology, is incredibly precise with a set framework of rules. Because the rules are outlined and defined so clearly, it allows for accurate, detailed and sometimes very literal readings. The framework set is useful in many ways, but astrology is a form of communication with the divine, and as such, requires subtlety and personal connection to come to full understanding. Sticking to a rigid system, including an outdated gender binary, helps no-one in their interpretations. Akin to what wrote about house systems in Horary and allowing for experimentation and personal connection,1 it is likewise necessary to re-frame and re-think the archetypes in terms of gender, particularly when it comes to readings about relationship. It is time, as it were, to Re-wild the planets in Horary as in all other forms of astrology.
