Casual Devotion - Mar Charbel

Welcome to Casual Devotion - a series in which I am exploring the planetary archetypes through their Catholic saint counterparts here in Lebanon.1 This is the first installment, in which we will look at Mar Charbel, a quite contemporary saint and probably one of the most revered and well-known saints in Catholicism. He has become somewhat of the true icon for the Maronite Church, but is sought after for his healing powers from adherents to all religions and around the world.
